This week sees two centenaries: the death of Vladimir Lenin (21/1) and the appointment of James Ramsay MacDonald as the first Labour Prime Minister (22/1). To mark the occasion I'm devoting this week's Conflict & Democracy to celebrating a political tradition that both men despised: radical social democracy.
